Mitmproxy vs GNU Anubis

Hi, I am trying to understand if for my needs mitmproxy would be better than Gnu Anobis. Perhaps you can help me.

What I need is simply a local proxy server which modifies the content of my outgoing emails based on used-defined rules. Gnu Anobis claims to do exactly that (I have not tried it yet).

My criteria for deciding which of the two programs is better for my needs are:

  1. being more lightweight
  2. being easier to setup and use (my IT skills are not that advanced)

Which of the two programs would you recommend for my case?

Or is there perhaps some other program which would be even better for me?

Thanks

Hi @yonder,

Let me make this short: Mitmproxy is primarily focused on HTTP, not email.
