I asked a question about Web UI for mitmproxy on google groups and Maximilian Hils answered me :
“Regarding your question, a web ui is in the works and we hope to have a release before Christmas. :-)”
Any good news about it ?
The Web UI implementation is called mitmweb. It’s become v1.0 in the last few days. Available for Windows and is/will-be for Mac and Linux. Highly recommended. Terrific job mitm team.

And yes, we are fairly bad at communicating this - a new website with a blog is one of the next things we’re planning.
