Is there a way to get a cert onto a smart tv? I tried using [mitm.it](http://mitm.it) on the Smart TV’s web browser but it says unable to download.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Paul Everglade

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately there’s no definite answer to this. `mitm.it` would be the general way, everything else is specific to the tv software. Sorry, but there’s no good advice I can give other than trying out things.

Hi Max,

Thanks for the response. Is there any plans to update [mitm.it](http://mitm.it) for more devices since IoT is becoming increasing more popular?

Let me know and thanks again,

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this on our end. This is solely up to the Smart TV manufacturer. If the manufacturer does not permit certificate installation, you can only reverse-engineer your way around it.
